PIC18F4550 MCHPFSUSB Development Board
"USB Device not recognized!!!"
After weeks of tweaking with the PIC18F4550 and the MCHPFSUSB USB Framework from Microchip, finally got today it to work.
This is the 'minimal' schematic I used
The hex file used is the one from Microchip
in the "C:\MCHPFSUSB\fw\_factory_hex\picdemfsusb.hex".
The configuration bits are :

the USB CableRED : Vcc
BLACK : GND
GREEN : D-
WHITE : D+
This is how my usb connection goes. There was a problem initially getting the color code correct.
Places we went wrong
- the 470nF Capacitor
- The USB Connections
And finally after giving a good press, voilla ....
"USB Device Found"
